I had my first ever kitchen class on thursday

finally found out that we have to make out own recipe

so was kinda nervous for this class

today's main dish was fish

we were told by the lecturer that we have to come out with different plating and styles from out own kitchen partner

so me and celes did pan-fried fish with our own choice of vegetables and starch with hollandaise sauce

So this is what i a came out with

have a look..=)

I were basicly stuck at the presentation

but this is what i thought of XD

The next day was my pastry class

we were to make choux pastry

and this time was 4 in a group because there are 4 recipe to be made

me, celes, eunice and henry team up to do eclairs

so me and eunice did the choux pastries while celes and henry did the pastry cream and chantily cream =D

i only got a few pictures so..hehe

                                         

Our pastry sink back into itself

the oven door was open when the pastry was puffing

but it still look nice after the fillings is put in and the chocolate was coated

we have to choose the best 10++ to be given to temptation to be sold

                                        

It came out nice right XD

you can basicly find the DC people for anything you need

the chocolate coating was done by henry

he use his own piping bag

parchment paper make into a cone shape, make a small little hole at the tip and start piping away...

The rest that was not sent for selling went down our throat

ho ho ho

taste nice and awesome

the pastry cream and the chantily cream with the chocolates

1sT daY oF clasS..

today was the first day of class

in an blink of an eye

it's degree timeee

today officially DH 30 is seperated

some opA, some opB, some left for other course/ country, some just had enough of study

so today was the first day of us having class after a regroup

don't know why i got this feeling

but it's all so awkward 

maybe we are not use to it

we are in opB now

we are joining the ex-DC-ian

but the feeling not bad

change environment

just needs a little bit timeeee being use to

so GAMBATEEE

to Gamei and Mag and everyone elseee

jia you in everything you do ooh!!!

Fo0D!!!

Only now i am updating my blog

last week was my holiday

didn't do much but spend 5 out of 7 days in my grandparents place in KEDAH

went there straight on monday with my mum

after registering for my degree in taylors

L-O-N-G journey

sleep most of the way

but but but

the most exciting part is that i GET TO DRIVE

i help mum drove but only for a short distance

from GURUN to KEDAH

it took 1 hour ++ i think

i drove my mum's precious baby - NISSAN CEFIRO 

DAMN!!! i am so not used to it man

driving a big car

it makes me feel so small and i wonder how people drives their 4-wheel drive or the mercedes man

but the experience is so damn nice

if i got the chance

i will definitely DRIVE it again

anyways

the whole 5 days i was in kedah

i did nothing but eat sleep play watch tv and the list goes on and on

i wake up early in the morning to accompany my mum to the market

thats where i starts to demand what i want to eat for the day

i don't think you guys will know this but those from northen region will know i guess

1. APOM, its a kind of pancake only sells in northen region, as in ORIGINAL form

2. 卤面..i think also only sold in northen region only..its a think dark coloured soup noodle

so far this is my favouriteeee noodle of all time, i grew up eating this noodle, plus its cheap to the max!! only RM 2.20 for a bowl

3. KUIH-MUIH, haha, the kuih in kedah are mmmm-mmmm..damn nice!!

well, all i can say is that i am very  happy actually that i was born there, and i can really see that you know everyone there..haha, the people in the market was like saying to my mum, ''wah, you come back ady ah" or " wah, your daughter so big liao ah"..haha, everyone knows everybody here..

yeah, although its a little bit slow in progress or what we call not maju in malay, but still if you know where to find the food, it can really be a nice place to eat, but not as nice as Penang though..hehehehe

鸡丝面 in Kedah too, 1 of my favourite in Kedah..okok, these are a few of my favourite kuih that i will definitely eat whenever i am there

 

Mua chi

Glutinous rice flavoured with a type of blue colour flower eat with kaya, another of my favouriteeeee

haha, ang ku kuihhh

and and and..the kuih talam there is not the bit same with other i had tried

 its a kind baked kuih of tapioca, don't really know the real name..The kuih is yellow in colour, from the tapioca but has a dark brown crust at the top caused by the baking process.

but mum wont let me have this, she says the colour is now not natural anymore, they use colouringggg..=(

"chai tao kuih" in hokkien, a.k.a yam cake

my mum all time favouriteeeee, must buy this alsoooo whenever or wherever we areee

er..don't know what is this call but the filing is melted brown sugerrrrrr

finally we are all done with the exam

but this also means the end of the term and also the end of DH30

end of Diploma in Hotel Management

we are all diploma graduate and diploma holders from tomorrow onwards

at such, many of us will be leaving

overseas, changing course, and even not continuing to study

such a sad day tomorrow will be

mix feelings is what we are having

HAPPY because the exam is finally over

after all the sleepless night

all the hard work

SAD because its OVER

everyone is going their own way

that it ended that way

i can still remember clearly like it was yesterday

where we, strangers, gather at MPH in LCS

we spend a whole 2 years together

we share happy and sad memories

we even change campus together

and now

its coming to an end

:(

but the memories and the friendship we had will LAST FOREVER

we have facebook, MSN, friendster, plurk, twitter, and any other you can think of

so just bear in mind to keep in touch with the freinds you once spend your 2 years time with

FRIENDSHIP FOREVER

is very SUFFERING

PracTicAL no.1- RDOD

wow

after two freaking paper

i come back to blogger world

=)

now its practical's turn

just had my RDOD practical exam

thank god that i got housekeeping 

thank god that my documents was able to open

thank god that everything went smoothly

thank god that i was able to answer the questions, well mostly la..=p

went in then talk about my training

talk about the PSR i did

talk about the documents

Q and A session all the way

was stuck in some part

but overall i think i did ok..=)

was so relief after that

so now wish everyone luck in RDOD 

and need luck for myself for serving on monday

so worried for my upselling now

so tomorrow the whole day

practice memorize practice memorize practice memorize practice memorize..

wish everything will goes well
